Dolphins to the rescue!  0

Posted on November 25th, 2004, early in the evening. About General, Random Stuff.

This reminded me of that programme that was on years ago, “Flipper” - I assume it was scrapped. Thought it was quite funny.

“Four swimmers confronted by a great white shark off the coast of New Zealand were saved by dolphins that came to their rescue.

The three-metre (10ft) shark came within two metres of the swimmers, all of whom are lifeguards at a surf life-saving club north of Auckland…”

Update: gallery link  0

Posted on November 24th, 2004, around evening. About Random Stuff.

No more gallery link down the side - even though everyone kept telling me it wasn’t there (which it definitely was). Anyway, it’s now at the top in the header box (along with blog and the home domain - not very interesting. So the link down the side is no longer needed. Hopefully people will be able to see this one. I’ll even paste a screenshot for ya, just incase ;)

No go theory  6

Posted on November 24th, 2004, late in the afternoon. About General, Random Stuff.

So it seems I shouldn’t be on the roads with my lack of hazard perception. After failing that rather poorly yesterday I think I need to be more aware on the roads…22 out of 75 - woops! The whole section of the theory confused me though. Thought I was clicking too much (apparantly not). Actual theory of the roads was much better though, 33 out of 35 (motorway rules and documents where the 2 wrong). Never mind, eh - I mean, it’s only 20 quid…

Saints 1 - 2 Norwich City  0

Posted on November 22nd, 2004, around evening. About Football, Saints.

Hmmm…not much I can say to this really. We just played rather crap I think, especially after beating Pompey the previous week. Ya would have thought we could beat Norwich of all teams. They haven’t beaten a single team this year. Oh the shame…

Offers galore…  0

So…UCAS form gone - and offers coming in! Woo! Offers from Bath and Exeter - 1st choice Bath there! And interview from Cardiff which rocks (even if it is nearly 4 hours each way!)

Saints 2 - 1 Pompey (!!)  1

Posted on November 15th, 2004, early in the evening. About Football, Saints.

“I wish Steve Wigley the best of luck - but not on Saturday” - Harry Rednap, Pompey Manager - Famous last words

Ha ha, look at the score…now look again! Something prior to the match Saints and Pompey fans had in common was the thought of Pompey coming out on top - oh did we show them.

Ok well we did go down 1 - 0 within 15 minutes thanks for a rather scrappy own goal from Saints. But within 10 minutes it was level again with another scrappy one with lots of people in the box but Blackstock, some 18 year old kid, netting it.

Half time came and went with Kevin Phillips coming on to header in the winning goal - our second win of the seson, it’s not quantity but quality ;)

Album #10: You Gotta Go There To Come Back  0

Posted on November 10th, 2004, around evening. About General, Recommended Albums.

Another album from Stereophonics that I think deserves recommending. This one came out this year and I think is still as good as Performance And Cocktails if a little slower on more occassions. However, still a good listen - and also British!

Bush is Back in Town…  0

Posted on November 7th, 2004, around evening. About General.

Ok so maybe this post is a bit late but never mind. I don’t understand what the Americans are playing at, voting Bush back. I mean, ok Kerry wasn’t the best alternative, but surely better than Bush? He instigated a war that never needed to happen. And even if it did he didn’t exactly have the greatest amount of evidence to prove it. So another 4 years with the guy who’s incharge of the supposed most powerful country in the world.

Not long until the elections in this country. Up until about a week ago I didn’t know you voted for the party and not the guy, woops. So is Blair gonna be re-elected. Not that the Tauries and LibDems have much to offer, so looks like another win for Labour, despite the Iraq war (and Blair being a genuine arse). Oh well, Bush is Back.

Saints 2 - 2 Arsenal  0

Posted on November 2nd, 2004, early in the evening. About Football, Saints.

An interesting game all round I think. Was really expecting a bad game against them with our track record this season. However, with Henry missing a penalty after sending Niemi wide that made the match for me. Except Arsenal went on to score and amazingly, Delap equalised meaning Saints getting a point - away from home against the Premiership leaders. 5 minutes later anoher from Delap. For the first time in a long while, Saints could win, they just had to survive 5 minutes - they did, but with Arsenal scoring on the 90th minute it meant just 1 point from an amazing game. Well done Saints!
