Indian Ocean disaster: 122,000+  0

Posted on December 30th, 2004, around evening. About General.

I’m sure you’ve all heard about it but it’s still something that I feel needs mentioning. I hate disasters, especially natural ones because well, they’re natural. Nothing could have been done to stop it, I heard somewhere that it’d been building up for like 200 years or something - 9 on the Richter scale. Massive. I mean, they felt it in Africa.

Anyway, the point is that there’s £8 billion+ damage and they need money. In theory the Western world has a lot of it so we need to spare like a tenner or so (well as much as you can) and give it to basically any charity to help them. It’s such a big problem due to the fact there’s like 12 countries effected.

Some guy said that any country with enough money to spare should ‘adopt’ a country so they can sort themselves out quicker. An idea…?

Here’s a few links you can use:
American Red Cross International Response Fund
Médecins Sans Frontières International Tsunami Emergency Appeal
Unicef Asian Earthquake

Whatever charity you choose, please donate. There are so many sad stories from there.

Edit
I found a couple of videos taken first hand that are quite scary. There are loads out there but these got my attention. Especially the one from Indonesia. Take a look.

Happy Christmas to you all - ok so it’s Boxing Day now but never mind. It’s the thought that counts, eh? Have a good one - don’t drink too much.

Only 363 days to go…and really not counting

Saints lose - win Everyone Else  0

Posted on December 18th, 2004, early in the evening. About Football, Saints.

I’ve come to a conclusion that there’s no point posting Saints results because you can bet your mother’s filling that they will lose. I think we’ve had our worse defeat this season to date: 5 - 1! Must be an inside conspiracy from Portsmouth to get Saints to drop a league…

Album #11: America Town  6

Posted on December 16th, 2004, early in the evening. About General, Recommended Albums.

Ok, it’s been over a month since I’ve done an album but there haven’t really been any that I think are amazing. However, Five For Fighting deserve this next recommendation. They’re not very well known but their musics pretty good stuff. This album I probably have the most music from and got some of the best songs on it. Songs worth getting (downloading, buying, whatever): “Superman” (if you watch Smallville you’ll recognise this - it’s on the soundtrack too); “Easy Tonight” is also extremely good.

Finally persuaded my parents to let me get a) a new phone and b) on contract. Got myself a nice new Motorola V620 - very swish. He he. Except 02 suck cos they want a £50 deposit as I’m a new customer and I’m not worthy of them. Whereas Vodafone suck cos their price plans are crap. Hmm…

This is a recording (made a year afterwards) of a little girl from the U.S whose Dad was killed on the 9/11 - it’s real sad. Click here

‘Arry comes to town  1

Posted on December 12th, 2004, in the wee hours. About Football, Saints.

So the 2nd only manager to ‘manage’ Portsmouth and Southampton has arrived. Good old Harry Redknapp has come to Saints after his “break” from his reign over Pompey. Cunning or disloyal? So how many managers have Saints had in the past season now…? 4 I think.

We didn’t do too bad against Middlesbrough today - except for the old Saints traddition. Last minute goals. Enough for us to lose whatever rare win we have in the last few minutes. And also including an own goal. I suppose the brightside of this is that it was a different defender this time…

Edit
Looks like Pompey are as bad as Saints - reportidly trying to get Gordon Strachen to come to Portsmouth. Hmmm…

Ok so I’ve finally got around to exporting my library with Doug’s Scripts but they’ve gone into a funny order for some reason. Anyway, click here if you wanna see them. Rough update every now and again.

So it all manage to work out - Friday night was a sucess. She didn’t suspect a thing - ditz :D

It was a great night, wasn’t it, Laura? Everyone had a great time (well, from what I saw, I think they did) and mucho alcohol was consumed (for once, not by me). Lots of good songs - even if the iPod thing didn’t work but luckily there was backup CDs.

Time for another I think…
